Harley Davidson Night Rod

Harley Davidson Night Rod
Harley-Davidson and the cruiser segment in general is currently being forced into the realization that such bikes are often considered playthings by their owners. Sure, there are plenty of die-hard HD fanatics who ride their bikes thousands of miles annually and attend faraway rallies to gather with other enthusiasts who share their passion. Many owners, though, spend more time polishing their chrome than out riding. Such weekend warriors make up a large portion of the cruiser market, and those owners are being forced to hold onto their current rides a bit longer than normal due to the slowing economy in the U.S. -- a country which easily makes up the bulk of cruiser sales.
Harley-Davidson and the rest of the industry could see this change coming long ago, and the V-Rod was its opening defense to this looming issue... and it was a good one by most accounts. The Motor Company, though, has not been content to rest on the original V-Rod as the only alternative to its classic line of air-cooled V-twin powered bikes. Thankfully, we have machines such as the Night Rod Special to provide a welcome diversion from the rolling pieces of nostalgia that make up the majority of HD's line. Does the Night Rod Special's riding experience live up to the promise made by its menacing looks? Read on to find out.

Harley Davidson Night Rod
Style for performance-minded enthusiasts who like to get out-fainted, no hassle-up, models Night Rod Special taking VRSC ™ family in creepy journey along a dark alley. It features a black wheels, black frame, black forks down, triple clamps, swingarm, racing stripes on the airbox cover and speed-matching visor color screen. What makes it become a true member of the VRSC family is things like positioning, drag-inspired ride aggressively, the incredible power of the engine revolution and the distinctive sound and feel that only a Harley-Davidson can provide.

Affordable Harleys? Yeah it almost sounds ironic right? Well the 2011 Harley-Davidson SuperLow is just that and starts at $7,999. The 2011 Harley-Davidson SuperLow is basically a re-thought entry level Sportster that was christened "SuperLow".
Though it bears more than a passing resemblance to other Sportsters like the Forty-Eight, Nightster, Iron 883, and 1200 Low, the new 2011 SuperLow is an entirely different bike. It boasts features that suit the needs of beginner riders like a larger 4.5 gallon fuel tank allowing more than 200 miles of travel, new wheel and tire packages, and a re-tuned suspension.

Harley Davidson Fat Boy Special

Harley Davidson Fat Boy Special

To be fair this is little more than a standard Fat Boy with a different paint scheme and lower suspension and seat, but who cares. The Fat Boy is, in my opinion anyway, the ultimate Harley. The Special gets a covering of satin chrome on its wheels and oil tank, black bodywork and few millimetres off its seat height, which is now 680mm.

To ride it feels like you image a Harley would, a relaxed upright riding position, comfortable footboards with a ‘heel and toe’ gear change and a lovely thumping motor. We rode around the Black Mountains area of South Dakota and it fits in here perfectly with the flowing roads and relaxed pace of life. On the Fat Boy you can kick back and watch the scenery cruise by while the motor, which is the same 96 cubic inch unit as the Dyna, chug away below. On the bends it’s solid, assured and remarkably effective considering it has, to the non-Harley rider, very odd sized tyres.
The front is a 140-section, which isn’t much off a modern sportsbike’s rear!
There is a reason why film stars such as Arnie turn to the Fat Boy when then need a cool bike in the flicks, it’s an icon and in the new moody black paint scheme looks even better than ever.

Cruise the streets in unique style aboard the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Lo ($16,300 and up). Featuring the lowest seat height of any Harley, the black denim Fat Boy Lo has a profile all its own, with a reshaped seat and handlebar, half-moon footboards, black cast aluminum 17-inch wheels, a counter-balanced Twin Cam 96B V-Twin engine paired with a 6-Speed Cruise Drive transmission, and, of course, the classic five-gallon Fat Bob fuel tank.

US bike maker Harley-Davidson has finally launched ‘FatBoy Special’ in India. The New Harley Davidson FatBoy Special Price in India is whooping Rs. 19.7 lakhs. (Ex-Showroom Price). It is having a similar look like the ‘FatBoy’ but the special edition has a stylish lower seat with lower handlebar. Harley Davidson
FatBoy Special will be powered by the smae 96B Twin Cam V-Twin engine which has lower friction parts to make for more longevity and better performance. It is to be noted that Harley-Davidson India started its operations in August 2009, and appointed its first dealership in July 2010. The model will be imported in India and will be available in addition to already 14 models present in India. It has a displacement of 1584cc with air cooled engine and engine torque of 126.00 Nm @ 3500 RPM. With air cooled cooling systems and  Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), it weighs as heavy as 313 kg. For all the bike lovers if you have the money the wait is over.
